Paul Abelson papers, 1903-1953.

Include decisions, correspondence, clippings and other materials relating to arbitration and mediation in a range of industries. In addition to arbitration and mediation files, subject files, and files of decisions in the needle trades, the papers include newspaper clippings and miscellaneous documents, some in Yiddish, including addresses, notes, membership cards, etc., and information regarding Kehillah, a Jewish community in New York City. Involved in the arbitration and mediation files are the bakery, belt, children's and infants' wear, cloak and suit, doll, dress, fur, handbag, hat, hosiery, motion picture theatre, and muff bed industries. The correspondence in series 1 is chiefly from union officials or officials of employers' associations alleging contract violations or proposing contract revisions.
